Hi all!
I created this blog as a place to post pictures from my photo assignments. Every two weeks I receive a self-assigned photo assignment. My brother picks one word from each of the four categories that I've given him (concrete noun, abstract noun, colour, and number) and sends the four words to me. I then have to photograph something to illustrate each word in two weeks' time. At the end of that time I will post the four photos here. Please feel free to comment and critique!
I got this idea while browsing another photographer's work, and he mentioned a competition he entered in which you had to photograph given words from these four categories. Liking the idea, and wanting to improve my photography, I have started my photo assignments and this blog.
Also, if you would like to participate in the assignment, feel free! At the end of the two weeks, simply comment with a link to your four photos. The rules are:
1. Keep it clean and polite!
2. You cannot combine more than one category, unless you combine all four of them in one photo.
3. The photos must be shot in the two weeks specified.
4. You cannot do extensive post processing. Basic lighting, noise, straightening and colour adjustments are fine. No adding elements. Minimal cloning is allowed, as are black and white images and realistic looking HDRs. Artistic filters and such are not acceptable.
5. Try hard to submit photos for all four categories (not just two or three). One is allowed, if combining all categories. (See rule 2).
6. Only one set of four photos - one per category - is allowed.
7. Comment with a link to your photos on the post where I have posted my four for the two weeks. (Just to keep things orderly. I'll try to be prompt in posting.)
